"Days later, I'm still moved by the breakthrough performance from Kelly Twedt as Luisa, an impeccable singer who captures the playful sexuality, tension, and heartbreak of a young girl coming of age. She and David Allan Howell (Matt) look good together - and they sound even better. Their duet "Metaphor" ("You are love . . . ") is proof even critics can have goosebumps. Don't tell." John Moore, The Denver Post

"Kelly Twedt as Luisa is simply stunning, capturing the youthfulness and energy of the character perfectly. Her lovely voice is strong enough to carry her songs, but her acting shines through in each moment. David Allan Howell took on the role of Matt, and he is a perfect match for the effervescent Twedt. As El Gallo Austin Terrell is simply magnificent."

"I “tried to remember” when I had ever seen this good a production of The Fantasticks, and had to admit that director Sarah Roshan and her cast had surpassed all productions of all past “Septembers.”...This production is deliciously simple and thus right on target. Sarah Roshan is to be lauded for her superb direction (and) casting...Not to be missed"

"...off-Broadway's most beloved and enduring musical. Poetic and lyrical, simple yet profound, intimate yet universal and determinedly optimistic...a strong cast and obvious respect for the material...The Fantasticks unashamedly proclaims love triumphant."

"The poetic book and breezy, hummable score, includes such familiar songs as "Try to Remember," and has endeared the show to audiences for almost 50 years... This production takes place at the Denver Victorian Playhouse, one of the best intimate theaters in town... Denver has a stellar talent pool in the theater community and this one is another knockout cast..."
