Twelfth
Night
by
William Shakespeare
directed by Terry
Dodd
Join the merriment as Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy/drama
brings the Bard back to The Vic. Local legend has it that
The Vic, built in 1911 by George W. Swartz and known as
the Bungalow from 1911-1937, was the first theatre west
of the Mississippi to have staged all of Shakespeare’s
plays. Current owners/producers, Wade and Lorraine Wood,
are thrilled to have award winning director Terry
Dodd lend his vision and talent to this rich legacy.
Originally commissioned by The Queen as an ‘entertainment,’
Twelfth Night or What You Will follows Viola (L.
Corwin Christie) in her rebellious quest to find her brother,
Sebastian (Chris Bleau). Set in the very groovy 1960’s,
the winsome Olivia (Stephanie Jones), roguish Sir Toby (Wade
P. Wood), pompous Malvolio (Harry Cruzan) and spirited Feste
(Theresa Reid) help reveal the secrets of love, laughter
and life in the era of free love. Tune in, turn on, and
trip out – Twelfth Night!
